The Her Universe Fashion Show is our FAVORITE EVENT OF THE YEAR!!!

Since the very first day we started Fashionably Nerdy we were looking forward to their first event (OMG, we have been running our website that long?).

Every year more people are exposed to the Fashion Show and every year we will have the opportunity to be introduced to more creative designs and the amazing designers behind the outfits on the runway… this year the number of entrants doubled from last year making the number of designers way over 200 and each designer is allowed to submit up to 3 designs… but only 27 designs were chosen to walk the runway.

We don’t know why each design is chosen or not chosen… it could be any reason in the world… and most likely has nothing to do with the design or the designer but with how it fits within the diversity of looks in the show… with all of that being said there are at least 200 designers out there that designed awesome looks that will not be walking the runway – it’s a shame that these geek chic designs will not be seen — So, we asked designers to send us their sketches and here (for the second year)… we want to praise the hard work of these designers and show you their creativity and talent of their fandom themed pieces!!!
