Ashley Eckstein founder of Her Universe had the opportunity to record the audio book for the book, “Ahsoka”, a book about the Star Wars Character, Ashoka Tano. Ashley voices the animated version of Ashoka on both Star Wars Clone Wars and Rebels.
Fans have long wondered what happened to Ahsoka after she left the Jedi Order near the end of the Clone Wars, and before she re-appeared as the mysterious Rebel operative Fulcrum in the Disney XD TV series, Star Wars Rebels. Finally, her story will begin to be told. Following her experiences with the Jedi and the devastation of Order 66, Ahsoka is unsure she can be part of a larger whole ever again. But her desire to fight the evils of the Empire and protect those who need it will lead her right to Bail Organa, and the Rebel Alliance.
Ashley joined forces with “Star Wars: Ahsoka” author, E. K. Johnston for a book tour and fan meet-ups, which included autograph signings, Q & A sessions, excerpt readings from the new novel Star Wars: Ahsoka, trivia and more!
They visited New York Comic Con, Once Upon A Toy in Orlando, FL, and Barnes & Noble Stores in
New York, NY
Orlando, FL
Tampa, FL
San Diego, CA
Corte Madera, CA
Los Angeles, CA
I got a chance to go to the signing and Q&A at The Barnes & Noble at The Grove in Los Angeles and it was an amazing site to see… children of all ages dressed up in their favorite Star Wars and Her Universe outfits as well as cosplayers. The crowd was about half men and half women which Ashley pointed out is why Ashoka is so important and relevant in the Star Wars Universe… because she was the first Female Jedi introduced as a strong character that had nothing to do with her gender.
Ashoka has obviously been very popular as it has been on the Bestseller List for 3 weeks in a row!

What a great turnout and Ashley was quick to tell us how excited she is for the future of Her Universe and how she promises that the acquisition by Hot Topic will only change things for the better!
Do you watch SW Rebels? Have you read Ashoka yet?
