Lulu just turned 2 and I was very excited to plan a party based on her favorite book “Where The Wild Things Are” by Maurice Sendak. It was fun because there are not many WTWTA party supplies nor are their non specific just jungle (not jungle animals) or Monster (but not specific monster — like Monster High or Monster Inc)… so, I definitely had to be creative. Using a color scheme of Gold and Green and a general theme of jungle and monsters I tried to plan something special for my lil Wild Thing.
Clothing: After Halloween I got Lulu a Max / Wolf Costume online while it was on sale. I purchased my “Mom of the Wild One” dress (which I already own in a different print so, I knew it would fit over my pregnant belly) from Red Bubble. I was lucky that my mom came to town to celebrate Lulu’s birthday and brought Lulu and WTWTA t-shirt she had found back in Atlanta for Lulu to wear under her costume.
