Why on earth would you bring your own hospital gown to the hospital?
My mother said, you don’t want to get your gown dirty… just use the one the hospital provides. However, the one that the hospital provides is completely open down the back – so from the minute you get to the hospital everyone can see your butt. You can bring your own hospital gown, you can wash it in your detergent, you can choose your own style (I got no pictures of my delivery and thought I would – but my labour went so quick no one had time to take pictures), for pictures and such. Also along the same lines – labour and post labour can be a whirlwind of your body changing temperatures – most of the time I was overheated and hot, hot, hot – but from time to time I got a little cold and having pretty robes that fit my pregnant body not only facilitated in lovely pictures but also provided warmth.
