Do you think you have what it takes to be the next big name designer in nerdy fashion? 

On Saturday, April 23 at 1:00 pm, the Her Universe Fashion Show is holding an open call for designers at The Hollywood and Highland Hot Topic. Designers will get the chance to submit their designs to be a part of the Third Annual fashion show, which will again be held at San Diego Comic-Con.  Perspective entrants are asked to bring sketches/designs, portfolio and examples of previous work (if available). The open call will begin at 1:00 PM. The winners of the fashion show will work together with Hot Topic, and Her Universe to design a line which will be sold at Hot Topic stores,  nationwide.

Not only will this open call give designers a chance to submit their work to a panel of judges, the event will also provide an exclusive look at the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens line, deigned by last year’s winners, Kelly Cercone and Leetal Platt.

We cannot wait to see all of the pieces in the new collection before the official launch, and we are very excited that we will get the chance to share the new line with all of our Fashionably Nerdy readers and viewers.
